Looks like half the list is missing...
Where's the MB?

too expensive
You are paying way too much for everything. An AMD system with a different case ($50, not $150), a fully functional except for blu-ray combo drive and all the same specs as this one if not better is going to cost me $340.

Too Many Are Missing the Point....
The list of hardware given here has been proven. The disk drive isn't likely to be an issue with compatibility, but anything with drivers is a potential problem. I want to thank the author of this list for doing the hard work of ferreting out a list that will work. Thanks!!!

Out of Stock Items
Des the author of the list have recommendations for alternatives for the 'out of stock' items, especially the video card?

I think you can juice even more money out
I hate to pull down the rating but I think that some of the hardware is a bit ridiculous. I'm sure there's another motherboard out there but I'm not concerened with that. If you look for the PowerKing 300W PS it is ATX form factor with SATA's and Molex. That only cost $18 which knocks another $100 off. I don't think I need 500 GB so cut that price in half. 2 GB RAM is plenty and I would be more than happy to donate my DVD burner and video card to the new machine. My total price would be about $440.

Looks Good
I've done a lot of reading and this looks like a good solid build. The only thing I see missing that is in your picture is this video card: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814130025

Perfect Hackintosh starting point.
What a lot of the people commenting in here don't understand is that they have no idea what they are talking about. They don't get that this board is 99 percent supported by osx86 and allows a one disk install. I did two weeks of research and ended up with a very similar build before seeing this. The ability to do raid 0, and everything else but audio "just working" off the first install is what sells this build.

Definitely Fine
Maybe you can save some money by changing the motherboard. But the hard drive and ram. I don't see why it's necessary to downgrade them. I know I could use the hard drive. and 4gb ram is just so you can have max resources. 2gb functions pretty nicely. But 4gb is better. 500gb isn't nearly insane. Overall pretty great. Why argue with a 500gb for 105?

Save some Cash
I agree with Jolly. You can tone down the flair here for some sub-premium stuff. I won't argue with the hard drive. 110 bucks for 500 Gigs is awesome. You can save about 2-300 dollars here by searching out cheaper stuff, and that would leave wiggle room for a nice display. There are some decent 19 inch LCDs (1440 by 900's the norm) for about 170-200 bucks on Newegg. That can find a way on the list too.
